Time again for an update!

If you'll notice, I just uploaded a new fanfic, and the first of the 1k Watcher celebration fics I promised when I hit that benchmark last summer. Growth has been slow, but it has been trending upward, so I can't complain (it's all dependent on my output anyway, and there were a number of inactive periods in 2023, so that's on me). That said, I do feel like I'm starting to return to a more consistent writing schedule. Three in December, two this month, and that's not including the monthly short story I write for my Patreon supporters. If I'm able to increase my productivity further, I may get back to doing more there. We'll see how that goes.

Also, MTR returns! Chapter 32 was uploaded at the beginning of the month, and I'm grateful to everyone who has been patient during that nine month break while I managed planning and re-working the road map for MTR, and balancing that with a lot of the stress/anxiety in my daily life. I'm still actively hunting for employment, but the uptick in interviews I've had since September has given me some renewed motivation to keep pushing forward on that front. That said, I'm not going to lie: things are very tight, and I'm having to kick the can down the road with paying for obligatory expenses like food and bills. Wish me luck in getting a job in the next few months, because I'm still nervous about that. I won't turn down support through commissions or through my Patreon, because at least you'll be getting something out of that.

Current plans for February have me tackling another commission, which I'll be starting tomorrow. I also have at least one other fic planned to upload in February, and one of those is a 1k Watcher celebration fic that I started but sat on since October. I'll also have a Patreon short story to take care of, which is going to start getting voted on by supporters on the 3rd. As for the next MagiTechRanger chapter, I plan on starting that in late February, first week of March at the latest. I intend to get 33 out in March, so expect MTR chapters to be uploaded on a regular basis. Whether I'm going to do one a month or every two months remains to be seen. I do want to make enough progress this year to get to the next mini-arc, but that's going to be dependent on how reliant I'll be on taking commissions.

Yeah, I wanted to have MTR 32 up this month...but that didn't happen. I have gotten back to work on it, so barring whatever nonsense might get thrown my way (Covid exposure just happened, so I'm keeping an eye out for any symptoms on my end), I'll get it out during the first half of January.

Working my way back to a more consistent schedule, and so far it's paying off. Got three fic uploads in December! We'll see if I can continue that streak.

Same old same old regarding the lack of uploads, though I am starting to pick up in how often I write on a daily basis. Currently managing to hit a minimum of 500-700 words a day, sometimes breaking 1k words a day. So, while the past months have been sparse, you should see an uptick in activity. I have a commission that I'm nearing the two-thirds point with, and I hope to have it done by early next week (allowing some real life interruptions and other obligations).

After that is done, I'll get more work done on chapter 32 of MagiTechRanger. First chapter since April! Thanks to everyone who has been patient with me while I dealt with real life matters and reworking the MTR road map. The latter part still needs more work getting fully organized, but it's in a complete enough state for me to resume writing the series. I did want to get chapter 32 and this commission out in November, but the head cold I caught during the first week of November threw those plans out of whack. Lasted me about ten days overall, and I wanted to focus on recovering before I worked on any writing projects. I intend on having MTR chapter 32 out mid-December.

With those out of the way, I'll likely focus on a mix of different short stories that I want to do for celebrating hitting 1k Watchers earlier this year. I know, that was around June or July, lol. I'll be happy to finally work on some things I think you'll all enjoy. Those will be interspersed between MTR chapters and other commissions I have lined up. The first of the 1k Watcher celebration fics should be out after the turn of the new year. We'll see if I can get it out on New Years' Day. :P

Not much to discuss here, it's the same as before: had delays and stalling on my writing due to a mix of anxiety/stress and real life developments. Fingers crossed that I get hired from the recent spike of interviews I've gotten the past two weeks.

All that aside, I have gotten started on chapter 32 of MagiTechRanger. I expect it to be up in November (planned to have it done in October, but see above). I'm also in the process of working on an emergency commission. Those two have priority, so I'm getting them up in November. Fingers crossed that I get some of my groove back so I can write and upload more often (that includes my Ao3 page, which I have neglected for three years).

Aaaaaand...yeah, I've sat on sharing some commissions I got from 2021 to this year. I'll start uploading the ones I can share that haven't already been uploaded by the artists who have done the work on them. Many thanks to BeigePaladin , gguy123 , SpyralPyra , and many others!

Not much to cover, other than my pace going slower than I'd like. I'm still working on fleshing out more details for the MTR roadmap, and anxiety is interfering with progress. x.x

I'll have at least one story going up here in September. I should probably upload some of the commissioned art I've been sitting on since last year. At least that'll give you all something to enjoy while I work through what's bothering me.
